But Why?

"When I get to it," I tell her
As she runs her fingers across the walls
The bubbles she blew are still hanging in the air
The tantrum she threw still ringing in my ears
For her there is only now
And she knows if Dad say's he will get to it
He will get to it
But why does she have to wait?
She'll just spin in circles
And sing under her breath
Ready for me to tap back in to our game
Why would anyone choose to not play?
Why?
